Opportunities Volunteers -- There are opportunities for individuals to volunteer for work in the Bebb Herbarium. Volunteers should be able to work in the herbarium a minimum of two hours a week. Because of time needed to train our volunteers, we request a time commitment of at least three months. If you are interested in volunteering at the Bebb Herbarium, please contact either Dr. Wayne Elisens (elisens@ou.edu) or Ms. Amy Buthod (amybuthod@ou.edu), or phone the herbarium at 325-7533. The following is a list of projects suitable for volunteers: Specimen filing Label-making Specimen mounting Collections processing Library Organization Herbarium Practicum -- Undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Oklahoma may receive credit while becoming familiar with basic herbarium practices and techniques. Each hour of credit requires three hours per week in the Bebb Herbarium with a three hour maximum. Interested students should enroll in Bot 3990, sec 18: Independent Study -- Herbarium Practicum.
