Rare Animals and Plants of Oklahoma

Our new poster features some of Oklahoma's rarest animal and plant species. The front of the poster has five rows, four of which show various rare animals in the state while the fifth row showcases rare plants. Some of the animal species are either threatened or endangered and all are ranked as rare by the Oklahoma Natural Heritage Inventory. The back of the poster includes species descriptions and photo credits. This poster was produced with assistance from the Tulsa Zoo (America's favorite!) and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. Contact information for the supporting programs also is included on the back.
The poster is currently available to the public at no charge at the Oklahoma Biological Survey building in Norman, 111 East Chesapeake Street (just east of the Lloyd Noble Center), in Oklahoma City at the ODWC building near the State Capitol, and at Martin Park Nature Center. In Tulsa, the poster is available at the Oxley Nature Center in Mohawk Park. The poster is also available at the nature center at Quartz Mountain Nature Park, north of Altus.
