Bioblitz! 2001. From 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, thirty-five biologists and volunteers searched the George Sutton Avian Wilderness Area in Norman, Oklahoma to find and identify as many species as possible. 485 species of animals, plants, and fungi were identified in that time. Additional work is in progress to identify invertebrate species that were collected, so the total is bound to go up. Check this site for details and updates. |

Duck and Fletcher Map. This Game Type Map of Oklahoma, originally dated 1943, was converted for on-line display by Dr. Bruce Hoagland and Dr. Forrest Johnson of the Survey. The map image displayed with this report was digitized by Survey staff in 1995-96 from a paper map that was published separately by L.G.
Duck and J.B. Fletcher in 1943. The map is available for download as an image or as an Arc/Info coverage. |
