January, 2007 Survey is now hosting the MIGRATE web site for the Migration Interest Group: Research Applied Toward Education. MIGRATE is a network of scientists who are pursuing an integrated understanding of long-distance animal movements.
December, 2006 Updated posters files to include new Crayfish of Oklahoma poster. An order form is now available for ordering 1-10 posters.
December, 2006 Uploaded files to OSU Digital Libary for Volume 7 of Publications of the Oklahoma Biological Survey.

December, 2004 Added a posters link to the Publications page and added a page for the new Rare Animals and Plants of Oklahoma poster. Changed the poster link on the home page to link to the new poster.
October, 2004 Added Flora of Oklahoma Project. The Flora of Oklahoma is being written by a committee and in stages. This site contains information on the status of the project and other useful information about Oklahoma's diverse flora.
September, 2004 Added Wetland and Aquatic Plants of Oklahoma pages. The pages include species lists of and interactive keys to the wetland and aquatic plants of the state.
August, 2004 Updated Bebb Herbarium pages. Updated information on several pages and added links to Herbarium brochure and flyer for Goodman Foyer Renovation Project.
June, 2004 Added BiolBlitz 2004, updated information for Bioblitz! 2004 at Okmulgee State Park on September 10-11, 2004.

November, 2003 Added pages for the OBS Internship Program. The internship program enables students to combine what they learn in the classroom with the ‘real life experience‘ of working at the Oklahoma Biological Survey.
August, 2003 Added pages for the Laboratory for Organismal Diversity and Genomic Evolution. The pages highlight the research of Richard Broughton and his students.
May, 2003 Added information for this year's BioBlitz!. Bioblitz! 2003 is scheduled for September 12-13 at Boiling Springs State Park in Woodward County.
April, 2003 Added Oklahoma's Botanical Heritage poster. This poster highlights a portion of the native plants that characterize Oklahoma. The poster is available from the Survey and at a variety of places around the state.
April, 2003 Web pages for the Southwestern Association of Naturalists are again being hosted by OBS. The Survey was one of the sponsors of this year's 50th Anniversary meeting on the Norman Campus. Web pages for abstract and student awards submission were developed this year by the Survey.
December, 2002 Added subscription to OBS Online. This service allows users to sign up to receive our Biosurvey newsletter, information about Bioblitz!, or other Survey activities. The subscription is free.
September, 2002 Updated and moved Bebb Herbarium pages. The pages have been reorganized for better ease-of-use and a virtual tour has been added.
September, 2002 Added Atlas of the Flora of Oklahoma searchable database. The Atlas is the most comprehensive database of Oklahoma plant specimens currently available. Added button for atlas to home page.
August, 2002 Updated Oklahoma Natural Areas Registry information. Information from pages prior to Survey taking over the program in January, 2002, integrated into Heritage format. Added six new items to photo gallery. Added button for program to home page.
August, 2002 Added more searchable literature databases. Literature on Oklahoma plants, birds, herpetology, and mammals can be searched. Also re-organized all searchable databases, including DOKARRS and Mammal Specimens so can be accessed from one page. Added button for this to home page.
August, 2002 Added Google search to home page. The entire OBS web site is now searchable using the most popular internet search engine.
June, 2002 Added Oklahoma Mammal Specimen Records, a searchable database of museum records for Oklahoma mammals and Plant Literature of Oklahoma, a searchable database of the Oklahoma plant literature.
May, 2002 Updated BioBlitz! button and added new BioBlitz! page to reflect this year's BioBlitz! at Broken Bow Reservoir in September.
April, 2002 Added job announcements for Ecological Specialist and Sutton Center Director of Research to Opportunities page.
March, 2002 Updated Biodiversity inventory of Ouachita Upland Rivers. The objective is to survey mussels, associated benthic macroinvertebrates and meiofauna, and fishes, from 8 rivers in the Ouachita Uplands of southeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Arkansas over 3 years. Preliminary results are now posted.
August, 2001 Added OBS newsletter page. Newsletters ar now available in PDF format.
July, 2001 Updated Bebb Herbarium page. New and expanded information is now available about this Survey program. Potential visitors and volunteers are encouraged to check out the new information.
June, 2001 Updated Oklahoma Natural Heritage Inventory pages. These pages were updated to make it easier to get information from ONHI. Most ONHI documents, including lists, are now available in Adobe Acrobat format.
May, 2001 Bioblitz! 2001. From 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, thirty-five biologists and volunteers searched the George Sutton Avian Wilderness Area in Norman, Oklahoma to find and identify as many species as possible. 485 species of animals, plants, and fungi were identified in that time. Additional work is in progress to identify invertebrate species that were collected, so the total is bound to go up. Check this site for details and updates.
May, 2001 Updated publications pages for articles, reports, and theses published in 2000.
March, 2001 Expanded history pages based on "A History of the Oklahoma Biological Survey" by Charles C. Carpenter. Included are photos of the people and vehicles involved throughout the years in surveys. There are several interesting photos of George Lynn Cross, among others, in the field.
March, 2001 Duck and Fletcher Map. This Game Type Map of Oklahoma, originally dated 1943, was converted for on-line display by Dr. Bruce Hoagland and Dr. Forrest Johnson of the Survey. The map image displayed with this report was digitized by Survey staff in 1995-96 from a paper map that was published separately by L.G. Duck and J.B. Fletcher in 1943. The map is available for download as an image or as an Arc/Info coverage.
